Meet Pastor Michael & April

In March 2020, Pastor Michael and April stepped into leadership at First Assembly after serving faithfully for 30 years as Associate Pastors under Pastor Gatlin.

Michael, the son of an Assemblies of God pastor, and April, raised in the Southern Baptist tradition, bring together a legacy of faith and a shared passion for ministry. As a pastoral team, they are deeply committed to loving God, serving people, and living lives that reflect the light of Jesus.

Their hearts beat for this truth: No story is too broken for God to rewrite.

By God’s grace, their own marriage has been tested, refined, and beautifully restored. That journey has become the foundation of their calling, not only to help couples find healing and rediscover purpose in their covenant, but also to walk with others through the highs and lows of everyday life.

Whether in marriage, ministry, or the moments in between, their goal is simple: to make Heaven more crowded and live a life that makes Jesus shine.

Pastor Michael and April are proud parents of four children and joyful grandparents to six.
